In my 75 years on this earth, I have had some wonderful opportunities as well as some tragedies.
Even though I lost both my parents when they were young, they encouraged me to face life head-on and grasp the opportunity that was presented to me.
I worked for the Army in Germany for 6 years during the Viet Nam conflict.
Later I went back to school and got a degree in Health Services Management which enabled me to open a convalescent center for Alzheimer’s care and hospice.
After returning to the midwest I opened an Art gallery, supply store, and art school.
Because I worked in my mother’s dress shop I learned how to make costumes and worked in Branson, Mo for several shows. One of my favorites was getting to care for costumes and be a dresser for 30 Irish Dancers in the show Titanic Dance.
Life has been a real and amazing journey. I choose to look at the good and not the tragedies. I am a woman of God and intend to live as He has commanded. I will do whatever I am instructed and go wherever I am sent.
To God be the Glory
In the weeks to come, I will write stories I remember as well as some I have heard from family and friends. You can even send me stories that I will add to this blog. With your permission of course. I feel we sometimes need to step back from all the hustle and bustle. Stop and take a deep breath so to speak or smell the roses as they say.
